Version 1.2, 2026
1. Who we are
The Culture Trail GmbH, Shilquai 131, Zürich, Switzerland
Company number: CHE 425.562.693
E-mail: hello@theculturetrail.com

2. Scope
These terms apply to all our services: open trails (such as the Entrepreneur Trail and Talent Trail), bespoke Team Trails, and workshops, intakes and other sessions. By booking, you agree to these terms.

3. Booking
A booking is final once you've received our written confirmation and the deposit has been paid. For bespoke Team Trails and workshops, the signed proposal or written confirmation by e-mail counts as the booking.

4. Prices and payment
All prices are in CHF, excluding VAT unless stated otherwise.
Open trails: The full amount is invoiced no later than 30 days after the trail.
Workshops and sessions: the full amount is invoiced after confirmation and due within 30 days, and in any case after the session takes place.
Unless stated otherwise, travel to and from the starting point is not included.

5. Cancellation by you: open trails
Cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail.
More than 60 days before the start: full refund, minus the deposit.
60 to 30 days before the start: 50% of the total price is due.
Less than 30 days before the start, or no-show: 100% of the total price is due.

6. Cancellation by you: bespoke Team Trails
Because we book accommodation, guides and programme in advance for your team, the following applies:
More than 90 days before the start: the deposit is retained.
90 to 45 days before the start: 50% of the total price is due.
45 to 30 days before the start: 75% of the total price is due.
Less than 30 days before the start: 100% of the total price is due.
Fewer participants than agreed: the price is based on the number confirmed before the start of the trail.

7. Cancellation or rescheduling: workshops and sessions
More than 14 days before the session: free rescheduling to a new date within 3 months, once.
14 to 7 days before the session: 50% of the price is due.
Less than 7 days before the session, or no-show: 100% of the price is due.

8. Cancellation or changes by us
We may cancel an open trail if the minimum number of participants isn't reached. In that case we'll let you know at least 30 days in advance, and you'll receive a full refund or a place on another trail.
Your safety comes first. If weather, conditions or other circumstances make the planned route unsafe, we'll adjust the programme or the route. This is not a reason for a refund.
If we have to cancel a trail or session entirely due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), we'll offer a new date. If that's not possible, you'll receive a refund of the amounts paid. We aren't liable for other costs, such as travel you've booked.

9. Health and fitness
Our trails involve hiking in the mountains. By booking, you confirm that you're in good enough health to take part. Please tell us before the trail about any medical conditions, injuries or dietary needs that are relevant for your participation. You follow the instructions of our guides. We may exclude a participant from (part of) the programme if their safety or that of others is at risk.

10. Insurance
Participants are responsible for their own accident, health and liability insurance. We strongly recommend travel cancellation insurance.

11. Liability
We take great care in preparing and guiding our trails and sessions. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Swiss law, and in any case to the amount paid for the booking. We're not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings.

12. Confidentiality
What's shared during our trails, sessions and intakes stays confidential. We don't share personal or company information from our programmes with third parties.

13. Photos and film
We may take photos or film during trails to share our work. We'll always ask for your consent before using images in which you're recognisable.

14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zürich have exclusive jurisdiction
